The Bass Media Equipment Checkout (BMEC for short) is a collaborative service run between the Bass Library Circulation Desk and STC Media Techs to offer short-term rentals for various pieces of tech that Yalies may find themselves in need of! We offer laptops, projectors, camera and lighting equipment, speakers and microphones, some iPads, and more! So, whether you are recording a podcast or have a penchant for photography, we may have just what you need!

Our services are available to most Yale faculty, staff, and students! Any person wishing to use BMEC services must possess two things: an active NetID and a billable library account. Sponsored identities and alumni are not eligible for these BMEC services, even if they otherwise have access to library services. If an eligible client has never used our online reservations system before, they can create an account on our site linked above!
